Wall of Flesh
The flesh-bound gatekeeper of the abyss that seals your fate and births a new world
The Wall of Flesh is the final pre-Hardmode boss . Once it is defeated, the world permanently converts to Hardmode , which brings new content and challenges. To defeat the Wall of Flesh, the player must attack either its eyes or its mouth. They all share the same health counter, so attacking any of the three will deplete the total health of the boss. However, the eyes have less defense (thus take more damage) than the mouth. No other parts of the Wall of Flesh can be damaged. See below for information on the two exclusive debuffs from the boss, Horrified and The Tongue . While the Wall of Flesh is alive, its exclusive music Boss 2 will play. When Otherworldly music is enabled, the track Wall of Flesh (Otherworldly) will play instead. - Item (Quantity) Rate - Pwnhammer 100% - Two (see the notes below) of the following 8 items will always be dropped - One of the following 4 weapons will always be dropped - Breaker Blade 25% - Clockwork Assault Rifle 25% - Laser Rifle 25% - Firecracker 25% - One of the following 4 emblems will always be dropped - Warrior Emblem 25% - Ranger Emblem 25% - Sorcerer Emblem 25% - Summoner Emblem 25% - Badger's Hat when defeated on the same day as the Eye of Cthulhu 100% - Healing Potion (5–15) 100% - Wall of Flesh Mask 14.29% - Wall of Flesh Trophy 10% - Treasure Bag (Wall of Flesh) 100% - Demon Heart when no Demon Heart used yet 100% - Wall of Flesh Mask 14.29% - Pwnhammer 100% - One of the following 4 emblems will always be dropped - Warrior Emblem 25% - Ranger Emblem 25% - Sorcerer Emblem 25% - Summoner Emblem 25% - One of the following 4 weapons will always be dropped - Breaker Blade 25% - Clockwork Assault Rifle 25% - Laser Rifle 25% - Firecracker 25% - Coins ( 20 GC ) 100% - Goat Skull 25% - Wall of Flesh Relic 100% - Internal NPC ID : 11

Lore & Background
Deep within the scorched crust of the world lies a slumbering horror, a living bridge of muscle and sinew known only as the Wall of Flesh. It is not merely a monster but a cosmic threshold, the final sentinel guarding the boundary between the primitive pre-Hardmode era and the chaotic evolution that follows. Legends whisper that this entity was once a god cast down for its hubris, now condemned to drag itself eternally across the Underworld's lava seas, forever chasing those who dare to provoke it with voodoo effigies.
To gaze upon the Wall is to invite madness; its two burning eyes and gaping maw exude an aura of absolute dread that freezes the soul. The air grows thick with the scent of brimstone as it advances, a relentless tide of flesh that ignores all barriers. Its very presence warps reality, for once it falls, the world itself is irrevocably altered, shaken awake from its slumber into a state of heightened danger and potential. It is the great transformer, a beast whose death rattle signals the dawn of a new age for the realm.
In Their Own Story
You stand upon the obsidian ledge, the heat of the lava below licking at your boots. In your hand, the Guide Voodoo Doll feels unnaturally warm, its tiny fingers twitching as if sensing your intent. With a trembling breath, you cast it into the churning river of fire. The simulation is instant; the Guide screams, his avatar dissolving into ash and light as the earth itself groans in protest.
From the darkness beyond the screen, a shadow emerges, vast and terrible. The Wall of Flesh rises, blocking out the stars of this subterranean sky. Its eyes burn with a hateful crimson light, locking onto your soul with terrifying intelligence. It begins to move, a slow, inexorable sweep that forces you backward. You sprint across the long bridge you built, the ground shaking beneath the weight of its approach. The Hungry detach from its sides like grotesque leeches, their veins snapping as they lunge toward you. You weave through their strikes, your weapon flashing against its soft eyes, knowing that every second brings it closer to you and further from your escape.
Reader's Guide
Summon the Wall of Flesh by dropping a Guide Voodoo Doll into lava in The Underworld while the Guide is alive, or by ensuring the Guide dies while touching lava. This triggers the boss to spawn at least 75 tiles away on the side of the drop.
Preparation requires a long, flat arena in the Underworld, ideally a 10-block wide bridge spanning hundreds of tiles horizontally. Ensure you have clear escape routes and avoid lava pools that could trap you as the boss approaches.
Focus your attacks on the eyes or mouth; these are the only parts that take damage, with eyes having lower defense. The Hungry attached to its body deal increasing damage as the fight progresses; kill them quickly for hearts, but prioritize the main body. In Expert Mode, they respawn and gain knockback resistance.
As the boss's health depletes, it accelerates dramatically, reaching speeds of over 40 mph. Maintain constant backward movement. The Horrified debuff will prevent you from escaping if you get too close to its center mass. Use high mobility gear like wings or gravitation potions to stay ahead while dealing consistent damage.
