Skeletron Prime

The iron skeleton rises to crush the unworthy under a cold mechanical moon

Skeletron Prime is a Hardmode mechanical boss which is essentially a more difficult version of Skeletron . It consists of a head and four limbs, but, similarly to Skeletron, only the head needs to be defeated to defeat the boss. While Skeletron Prime is alive, its exclusive music Skeletron Prime will play. When Otherworldly music is enabled, the track Boss 2 (Otherworldly) will play instead. - Item (Quantity) Rate - Soul of Fright (25–40) 100% - Hallowed Bar (15–30) 100% - Greater Healing Potion (5–15) 100% - Skeletron Prime Mask 14.29% - Skeletron Prime Trophy 10% - Treasure Bag (Skeletron Prime) 100% - Mechanical Battery Piece 100% - Skeletron Prime Mask 14.29% - Soul of Fright (25–40) 100% - Hallowed Bar (20–35) 100% - Coins ( 30 GC ) 100% - Robotic Skull 25% - Skeletron Prime Relic 100% - Internal NPC ID : 127 - 1 Summoning and spawning - 2 Arms - 3 Behavior - 4 Notes - 5 Achievements - 6 Tips - 7 Trivia - 8 History - 9 References

Lore & Background

Victory over this iron tyrant yields more than mere survival; it grants the souls of fright and bars of hallowed metal, the latter essential for crafting gear to face even greater terrors. To defeat Prime is to silence its mechanical roar and claim a victory that reshapes the world's balance, proving that even in an age of gears and circuits, courage remains the sharpest weapon.

In Their Own Story

With a final surge of adrenaline, you focus your fire on the saw arm, severing it from the main frame. The boss stumbles, its balance broken. You press the advantage, dodging the frantic lunge of the vice and weaving through the cannon's barrage. As the first ray of true sunlight touches the horizon, Prime lets out a final, grinding shriek before collapsing into a heap of scrap and treasure, leaving you standing amidst the silence of a world reclaimed.

Reader's Guide

Be prepared for the spinning phase every ten seconds where all attacks become faster and more aggressive, dealing double damage. If dawn approaches without victory, the boss will enrage into a Dungeon Guardian-like state with 9,999 defense and lethal speed. Defeat it before sunrise or be ready to kite at extreme speeds.
