Lore & Background

Deep within the radiant, corrupted splendor of the Underground Hallow, a new ruler has awakened from the slumber of ancient gels. Unlike the chaotic brute known as King Slime, this entity embodies the twisted elegance of the biome's transformation. She is Queen Slime, a being of translucent crystal and bouncing mirth who demands tribute not through fear alone, but through the sheer overwhelming force of her court. Her arrival signals that the Hallow has matured into a realm where even its guardians have evolved into deadly aristocracy.

The air shimmers with her exclusive anthem as she summons her retinue: Crystal Slimes firing jagged spikes, Bouncy Slimes lobbing volatile pink globules, and Heavenly Slimes diving like falling stars. These are not mere minions but extensions of her will, born from the very essence of her crystalline form. She does not merely hop; she teleports with regal disdain, sinking into the earth only to reappear above her subjects if the path is blocked. To stand before her is to witness the Hallow's dual nature: a place of dazzling beauty that hides a lethal, bouncy fury beneath its sparkling surface.

Defeating her yields treasures fit for royalty, from the elusive Blade Staff to the crystalline armor that mimics her own skin. Yet, she remains an optional sovereign; the world will not end if she is ignored, but those who seek the ultimate rewards of the Hallow must face her bouncing court and survive the shockwaves of her Regal Smash.

In Their Own Story

The crystalline air hums with a strange, high-pitched melody as you step deeper into the Underground Hallow. Suddenly, the ground beneath your feet shimmers, and she emerges—a towering figure of translucent blue gel and jagged crystal spikes. Queen Slime hovers for a moment, her presence commanding the very light to bend around her. She does not speak, yet her intent is clear: you are an intruder in her glittering court.

With a burst of speed that defies her size, she lunges, phasing through the stone blocks as if they were mist. You leap back just as she impacts the earth, sending a shockwave rippling outward that cracks the ground where you stood seconds before. Above you, smaller slimes materialize from thin air, their bodies glowing with dangerous energy. A Crystal Slime fires a spike in a high arc, while a Bouncy Slime launches a pink globule that ricochets wildly off the walls.

She pauses, hovering above her minions as her form expands and sprouts massive crystalline wings. The battle shifts; she is no longer bound by the ground, soaring through the air to rain down Regal Gels in a perfect circle before they scatter outward. You must keep moving, weaving between projectiles that bounce with unpredictable rhythm. As her health wanes, her movements become more frantic, yet her grace remains untouched. In this dance of crystal and gel, only the swift will survive the Queen's court.

Reader's Guide

Summon Queen Slime by using a Gelatin Crystal in The Hallow or Underground Hallow at any time. Unlike many bosses, she does not enrage if you move to a different biome once the fight begins, allowing for flexible arena placement.

Construct an arena with long horizontal platforms to facilitate movement and avoid her ground-based shockwaves. Ensure the area is clear of excessive blocks above to prevent her teleportation from trapping you. Fighting in the air during Phase 1 is highly effective as many attacks cannot reach you there.

Phase 1 sees her leaping and summoning minions. Prioritize killing Crystal Slimes, Bouncy Slimes, and Heavenly Slimes immediately, as they fill the screen with projectiles. Use weapons like the Dart Pistol or Dart Rifle with Crystal Darts to clear groups efficiently. Stay airborne using wings or mounts to dodge her Regal Gel volleys.

At 50% health, she enters Phase 2, growing wings and flying. She will no longer teleport but will fly above you, firing gels in ten directions or diving for a massive stomp. Switch tactics: stay closer to the ground during this phase to avoid being trapped under her aerial assault while dodging the spreading gel projectiles.

Recommended armor includes Palladium for its healing buff or Crystal Assassin gear dropped by the boss itself once available.
