Lore & Background

The true power lies in its defensive mystique. With a mere ten percent chance, the gear allows the bearer to instinctively dodge enemy attacks, leaving behind a wisp of smoke as the foe strikes empty air. While the dash itself offers no protective shield like the Shield of Cthulhu, it provides unmatched mobility, propelling the user twice as far in a blink. It is a tool for those who refuse to stand still, turning the battlefield into a playground where walls are paths and danger is met with fleeting shadows.

In Their Own Story

Another strike came, but your body moved before your mind could command it. The dodge triggered automatically, the enemy's claw passing harmlessly through where you had stood moments ago. You saw the opening—a gap between two charging enemies—and seized it. Your dash carried you twice as far as any shield could, a blur of motion that left the monsters confused. You were not fighting them; you were dancing above their reach, using the walls as your allies until the threat was nothing but dust in your wake.

Reader's Guide

Mastering this gear requires timing and spatial awareness. The one-second cooldown between dashes means you cannot spam the ability; use it strategically to reposition or escape lethal attacks. Remember that the dodge chance does not stack with the Black Belt, so wearing both is redundant. Use the wall-climbing feature to traverse difficult terrain quickly, and rely on the smoke trail of your dodges to confuse enemies while you strike from an unexpected angle.
