Lore & Background

As time marches on and the world hardens into its second phase, the Hallow creeps in from the edges, turning the lower branches of existence to gold. The tree icon above the portal shifts to reflect this metamorphosis, a silent herald of the trials faced within. Only when the Moon Lord falls does the icon gain a golden border, marking the realm as a place where the ultimate darkness has been vanquished. These worlds are infinite in their potential yet finite in their boundaries, waiting for a hero to traverse their depths and rewrite their history.

In Their Own Story

As you wander toward the center of this horizontal expanse, you feel the weight of its uniqueness. The seed that birthed this place was random, a number between zero and billions, ensuring that no other soul has walked these specific coordinates before. You dig into the earth, uncovering ores unknown to your previous journeys, while above, the sun casts long shadows over biomes that will soon shift from pre-Hardmode stillness to chaotic transformation. This world is yours alone to shape, a canvas where your character's inventory and memories follow you like a shadow, ready for whatever fate the next sunrise brings.

Reader's Guide

Progression is visually tracked through the World Icon in the selection menu. The left half of the tree icon represents the naturally spawned evil biome (Corruption or Crimson), while the right remains a pure forest. Once Hardmode triggers, the bottom right turns yellow to represent the Hallow, and defeating Moon Lord adds a golden border. Remember that characters are not locked to specific worlds, allowing you to bring resources from one realm to another, though your inventory travel is tied to your character data.
